    Document! X and HelpStudio Bundle includes a number of features and tools to assist you with creating, manipulating, and using images in your Document! X and HelpStudio Bundle project.

    Create a Thumbnail from an existing Image

    1. Select the image in the Project Explorer.
    2. Right-click on the image and select Create Thumbnail.

    A thumbnail image (saved using the original filename suffixed with _thumb) is created and added to the project.

    The default settings for creating a thumbnail can be changed by selecting the Thumbnail Page Menu Item in the Options window.

    Replace an existing full size image in a Content Editor with a thumbnail

    1. Right-click on the full size image in the Content Editor.
    2. Select Replace with Thumbnail from the right click context menu.
    3. A thumbnail version of the full size image will be created and added to the project (if one does not already exist). The thumbnail will be inserted in place of the full size image; as a clickable Dynamic Image widget which expands to show the full size image when clicked.

    Insert an Image into a Content Editor

    1. Place the cursor at the point you wish to insert the image.
    2. Click the Image... button on the Content Authoring ribbon menu.

    1. Drag and drop the image from the Project Explorer to the point in the Topic content where you would like the image inserted.
    If you insert a thumbnail image (an image ending in "_thumb"), Document! X and HelpStudio Bundle will offer to insert a clickable link to view the full size image.

    Find Unused Images

    The Document! X and HelpStudio Bundle Find Unused Images tool will search your project for any images that aren't currently included in your project's content. You can then select to remove these images from your project.

    1. Click on the Find Unused Images button on the Tools tab.
    2. Select the images that you want to remove from your project in the tree and click the Remove button.

      Click the Remove All button to remove all unused images from your project.
