    Capturing an image

    1. Open the Image Capture tool by clicking on the Capture Image button on the Project Ribbon tab.
    2. Click the Capture button in the Image Capture dialog.

The Image Capture tool allows you to choose when the capture will take place (Immediate, after a specified delay, or on a defined hotkey) and what the capture target is (whole screen, specific window, specific region etc).

In this example the default options of Whole Screen and Immediate will be used.

    3. Click the Save button to save the captured image and complete the capture process.
After capturing an image a preview will be displayed and options to change the filename, create a thumbnail, add a drop shadow and add the image to the currently open project.

    Defining a region for capturing

    1. Open the Image Capture tool by clicking on the Capture Image button on the Project Ribbon tab.
    2. Select the Region option.
    3. Click the Define button.
    4. A red bordered rectangle will now be displayed that represents the region that will be captured. This region can be moved by holding down the left mouse button on the red circle in the center of the region and dragging with the mouse, the region can also be resized by any of its sides or corners.

The region selection can be confirmed by double clicking on the red circle in the center, or cancelled by pressing the Escape key.

    5. Click the Capture button in the Image Capture dialog to capture the specified region.

A specific size for a region can be entered manually in the Dimensions textbox under the Region option.
