Microsoft Help 2.x Compiler

Note: Because the only generally available viewer for Microsoft Help 2.x files is included only with Visual Studio .NET, you should only use the Microsoft Help 2.x to compile documentation that will be viewed from within the Visual Studio.NET IDE (e.g. for .NET assemblies or Visual Studio .NET integrated products).

Visual Studio 2002 and 2003

For Visual Studio 2002 and 2003 users, the Microsoft Help 2.x Compiler is available as part of the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Help Integration Kit, a Microsoft provided free Add-In to Visual Studio .NET that provides the functionality for compiling Microsoft Help 2.x projects.

Visual Studio 2005

For Visual Studio 2005, the Microsoft Help 2.x compiler is included in the Visual Studio 2005 SDK, which can be downloaded from the download section of the Microsoft Visual Studio Extensibility site at:
