Integration with HelpStudio
HelpStudio is a help authoring tool for the creation of end user help content for desktop and web applications. It can also be used to author non-reference content to
supplement the technical documentation created by Document! X. You don't need to use HelpStudio to create documentation in Document! X, but doing so will boost productivity when
creating additional non-reference content.
Using HelpStudio and Document! X together allows you to build a single consolidated help system containing both Document! X generated reference content and manually authored
content created in HelpStudio.
Both HelpStudio and Document! X contain integration features that allow you to get the benefits of each product whilst seamlessly blending the Document! X generated reference
content and the HelpStudio manually authored content at build time:
- Create links to HelpStudio topics when editing Document! X content using the Document! X Hyperlink dialog.
- Create links to Document! X topics when editing HelpStudio content using the HelpStudio Hyperlink dialog.
- Verify links to HelpStudio topics when running the Document! X link checker.
- Choose the location for the Document! X generated Table of Contents in the HelpStudio Table of Contents designer.
You can find more information on HelpStudio on the HelpStudio product page. A free evaluation version is available for
