  • Importing a template from a previous version?

About four years ago I customized a template based off of the "Visual Studio 2005 Style" template. I'm now using DocX 2010, and when I opened my old project in it, it said it couldn't find or couldn't import my old template. Not sure what the message was. Anyway, a couple of questions...

  • Re: HelpStudio 3 not finding templates

Your custom templates live in one of two places, depending on your OS. Vista/Win7: c:\ProgramData\Innovasys\ XP: c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\Innovasys You may discover your help studio templates living inside the DocumentX folder - a bit confusing, but this is how it goes... Why DocX2008...

  • Re: Image on help file banner

This is how I did it: First, I copied my banner image to "...\Application Data\innovasys\documentx5\templates\TemplateName\images" (I don't know why Help Studio's templates go in a DocumentX folder). Next, I edited "Standard.html" in the template (folder). This can be done...

  • HelpStudio 3 not finding templates

Anyone else having trouble with HelpStudio3 not finding its templates? The File-New dialog has a list of templates, but trying to actually create the new project dumps an error when copying the templates. The Tools-Options dialog has a template list, and this list is empty, rather than listing...

  • SandCastle Prototype style/template?

Has anyone had any luck emulating the SandCastle Prototype style in DocumentX? The breadcrumb trail along the top is one of the things I really like about the new look. Does anyone have any ideas on how to add something similar to the DocX header? I see the new VS2005 style in HelpStudio 3 adds a breadcrumb...
