in my assembly, i have a few data members that define a List<SomeType>. The problem arises when i go to view that member in the object model, it's missing. It's there when i view the members, and when i click on the link to drill down, it shows it correctly as a List<SomeType> in the detail page, but if i click on it, it takes me to the definition of a List<>, not my contained object.. 

obviously, i don't want to document what a List<> is, but my contained object.. how? and will it also work to show it in the object model as well?

I'm not quite following what you mean here. Do you mean you have a object with a member (property or method) that returns a List<SomeType> and that member is appearing on the object model? I'm not sure what you mean by "in the detail page".

Could I ask that you send through a copy of a generated page (or better still a CHM) that illustrates the problem to support@innovasys.com so we can raise a support ticket for this and get to the bottom of the issue.

as far as the peer support? that's exactly what i was doing.. checking to see if anyone else had encountered the same issue, and if so, what they did to address it. as far as i knew, it might've been a flag i forgot to set..
