Hello.

I cant seem to find what the possibilities are for video-integration in Helpstudio.

Currently i'am working on a projekt, where we are update the help section, and thus using Helpstudio 3.0.

The current help section, that need to be updated now, has some screencast video, but they are alle .exe files.

 

What I would like is a direct video stream, where the enduser just have to press "PLAY" in a video-player, and not download anything, or run an .exe file - If possible.

HelpStudio supports embedding / linking to flash video (i.e. .swf files) via the Movie widget, you can find more information on the Movie widget in the HelpStudio help under: Working with Content Widgets > Standard Content Widgets.

There was a document on your site detailing how to allow video viewing in CHM files. We need that information now. Two methods tried: use widget with Screencast.com HTML reference, and embed and object HTML code copied and pasted from screencast.com "share" tab. The widget produces a placeholder box but no video. The object/embed code produces a blank box with a broken image link at the top. Fixing this issue was the topic of the document I found but did not save. The flash movie widget only requires the .swf url. Could you drop an email to support@innovasys.com with an example of what you have tried and I'm sure we'll be able to help you get it working.
