How do I make the Search option find customized terms

I use a build profile for every one of our customers (because we customize the application terminology for each one and we need to do the same for the help file). It works fine. However, when I use the Search option in the resulting HTML help file, it only finds the original term. For example, my original term is called Activity (and I have that as %%Activity%% in all places in the help file) and in one profile I rename that to be "Task". When I build the HTML file, I get Task everywhere in the text. But, if I clik on the Search tab (the one in the bottom left section and not the Quick search in the toolbar) and search for Task, I do not get anything. If I search for Activity, I get all the pages.

    Am I missing anything?

    Thanks

Thank you for the reply. I have two questions to follow up:

1- How can I be notified when this issue is resolved?

2- Is there a work around that I can do meanwhile?

    Hi,

When trying to use the Search tab in the bottom left section of the page, the pane just says "Searching" and does not do anything.  Is this related to the same bug?

    Thanks,

    dipak

I am using a common word which is found on every page which should bring up several results.  Is there any thing I have to select before I build the document to use the search function?

    Hi,

There seems to have been a problem with the ftsindex.js file.  After reviewing the file names and saving the file again, the search worked.

    Thanks,

That is right... The stop words are not taken from the build profile but from the default one. This is the bug identified by the product team (post above). I could do a work around manually but that is tedious. I will wait for the bug fix.

Has this issue been fixed in the new 2011 release? Is it planned to be fixed in it?

I just made a test and it failed. I still cannot search with the custom terms of the build profile.

Can you please send a copy of your project (or a demo project with the same problem) to support (support@innovasys.com) so that we can investigate and ensure this gets resolved in HS 2011. Please reference this forum post in the email. Thanks.

Re: How do I make the Search option find customized terms

    I sent the email.

I did further test and noticed that the feature works with compiled help (CHM - which I do not use) but not in non-compile one (which is what I really need).
