    Oracle database connection

I don't seem to be able to connect to any Oracle database.  When trying I get a message: "Catalog is not supported by the Oracle database you are connecting to. Leave blank in future."  Then I receive a series of run-time errors before the entire application becomes unresponsive.

I assume that the "Catalog" being referred to relates to the Catalog drop down on the database connection screen.  It is not possible to fill this when dealing with an Oracle database so it is actually always blank.

    Can anyone help?

    Regards,

    Heath.

    Re: Oracle database connection

This issue was being caused by selecting "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers" from the Provider list, for Orcale support you will need to select an Oracle specific driver i.e. "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle".
