Hi! I want to enable source control integration via Subversion. In Tools -> Options -> Source control connection I choose "Generic MSSCCI provider", and a second Drop-down appears (for connection properties) but this list is empty.

 I must be missing some installed components, do I have to have more than the subversion client installed?

I'm afraid HelpStudio and Subversion don't directly integrate. However a third party tool can be purchased that will create a link between the two products. http://www.pushok.com/soft_short_info.php This will resolve your integration issue however this isn't the easiest or smoothest way to use source control with HelpStudio.

Ok. Is a more tighter Subversion integration on your roadmap?

Moving to another source control system just because of wanting to use HelpStudio is not viable for us. Also introducing a new source control system only for our documentation is just creating waste in our organization.

I thought that Subversion, especially with the Tortoise client, and VS plugins like AnkhSVN had been adopted by a lot of companies?

This has been logged as a feature request but I can't confirm if and when it will be implemented.

One of the reasons we bought the product was because we were under the impression that SubVersion integration would be available (without additional cost).  How many requests do you need before implementing this feature? Or are you saying this integration is not on the roadmap and never has been making your claims of subversion integration somewhat disingenuous.

We are a customer, and we desperately want SVN integration.  So add another vote for this one!
